The game between FlyQuest and Unicorns of Love was packed with non-stop fighting and solo kills all across the map, making it one of the scrappiest games at Worlds. However, FlyQuest managed to rise above the chaos by turning a teamfight win at the dragon pit into a decisive victory, ending North America’s undefeated streak at the 2020 World Championship.
PowerOfEvil Shines for FlyQuest
For many North American fans, PowerOfEvil’s performance on Syndra was a glimmer of hope. Facing off against Nomanz’s Orianna, PowerOfEvil showcased his skill on his signature champion. Santorin, playing the Volibear, constantly ganked the mid lane, pressuring Nomanz and preventing him from countering FlyQuest’s aggressive playstyle.
FlyQuest’s Victory Hinges on PowerOfEvil
While FlyQuest dominated the mid lane, Unicorns of Love’s top laner Boss put on an impressive display with Ornn against FlyQuest’s Solo. After repeated ganks from UOL’s AHaHaCIK, Solo ended the laning phase with a 0/3/0 scoreline. Both teams struggled in the laning phase, leading to scrappy teamfights with no clear winner.
