Power Rankings for Week Two of EU LCS

Eu LCS Power Rankings: Misfits on Top, Unicorns of Love Struggling

We are two weeks into the EU LCS season and there’s still a lot of uncertainty. Misfits are showing their dominance, while Unicorns of Love are facing a downfall. However, the middle of the pack is a toss-up, with several teams capable of going in any direction. In week three, exciting matchups like Fnatic vs. Misfits and Schalke 04 vs. Vitality will provide more clarity on the standings.

Bottoms yet again

There is a general consensus on the bottom two teams in the league. Both teams have major issues and lack talent.

10) Unicorns of Love (5 points, no change)

The Unicorns are struggling. Despite signing a support player from outside of Europe, they haven’t learned to play fundamental League of Legends. Their lack of strategy is finally catching up to them.

9) H2K Gaming (10 points, -4)

H2K came into the season with hopes of turning their Challenger Series players into winners. Unfortunately, their early results are not promising. Their latest loss to Giants showed a lack of objective control despite having favorable setups.

The muddled middle

With the chaotic nature of the LCS, any of these teams can rise to the top or sink to the bottom. It’s difficult to assess their true potential.

8) Giants (18 points, +1)

Giants had a rough week, but their win over H2K moved them up. H2K’s poor performance made them look better by comparison.

7) ROCCAT (21 points, +1)

ROCCAT continues to win and if they keep performing, they could climb up the rankings. Support player Tore “Norskeren” Eilertsen has been outstanding, making crucial plays on stage. If their support and jungle continue to excel, they have a chance to make a big move.

6) G2 Esports (26 points, -4)

G2’s inconsistent performance continues. After being seen as contenders, they suffered a bad loss to Fnatic last week. They failed to pressure in a 1-3-1 situation, allowing Fnatic’s ADC to gain a farm advantage. Top laner Martin “Wunder” Hansen needs to play more aggressively for the team to succeed.

Smoke and mirrors

Teams in the middle of the pack have similar records, but some have looked better than others.

5) Splyce (29 points, -1)

Splyce has been barely winning their games. Although they make incorrect calls, their teamwork has been decent. However, they still struggle with problematic calls and drafts. Yacin “Nisqy” Dinçer is not performing well individually, but their ADC’s pentakill keeps them in the middle of the standings.

4) Fnatic (35 points, -3)

Fnatic resembles last year’s team that heavily relied on their ADC to win games. Top laner Paul “sOAZ” Boyer has been underperforming and they were lucky to avoid going 0-2 in their last game due to a drafting mistake by G2. Fnatic needs to improve their lane assignments and map control if they want to see progress.

3) Schalke 04 (36 points, +4)

Schalke 04 is one of the biggest climbers in the rankings. They had control over a game against Splyce but faltered by giving up a free Elder Drake. Their upcoming match against Vitality will be crucial. Although they struggle with drafts and closing out games, they have shown the ability to secure leads.

Hail the Italian Stallion

Vitality’s mid laner Daniele “Jiizuke” di Mauro has proven to be a force to be reckoned with.

2) Vitality (45 points, +4)

Vitality had a strong showing in week two, answering doubts about their first-week performance. Jiizuke played a key role in their victory against Fnatic. However, their shot calling was chaotic in their match against Misfits. They still have a lot to learn.

1) Misfits (50 points, +2, 5 first-place votes)

Misfits and Vitality stand uncontested at the top of the rankings. Misfits usually prioritize playoffs and don’t focus on regular season results. However, they are playing well as a team. If mid laner Chres “Sencux” Laursen becomes more impactful in the lane phase, Misfits can be a formidable opponent.
