Samsung Galaxy Players Choose their Worlds Skins
Samsung Galaxy emerged victorious in this year’s League of Legends Worlds championship, securing the Summoner’s Cup and achieving one of the greatest redemptions in the game’s history, as reported by PentaQ Esports. As part of their victory, the players will be honored with a series of champion skins. According to interviews conducted by PentaQ Esports, the players have already made their selections for the Worlds skins.
An interview conducted in Korean was later translated into English by a Twitter user. The translation reveals that all of the players have chosen their skins, excluding Kang “Ambition” Chan-yong.
The chosen skins for the Samsung Galaxy players are:
- Lee “CuVee” Seong-jin: Gnar
- Lee “Crown” Min-ho: Taliyah
- Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk: Xayah
- Jo “CoreJJ” Yong-in: Rakan
Xayah and Gnar were the champions played by SSG in the Finals at Worlds. Taliyah has been Crown’s popular champion since the beginning of the 2017 Summer Split, while CoreJJ used Rakan in a few matches during the World Championship.
If this information holds true, it would mean that Xayah and Rakan will receive their first skins since their release, and it would create a matching skin set similar to their Cosmic skins.
However, based on the release schedule of SK Telecom T1’s 2016 Worlds skins, which were launched eight months after their victory, it may be a while before the SSG skins are available for players to use in the game.
