Possible Reversion of LeBlanc to Her Previous State Due to Rengar’s Update in Patch 8.4

Riot Reverts LeBlanc Changes in Upcoming Update

Riot Games is taking steps to fix the issues caused by the preseason update in 2016. LeBlanc, one of the champions affected by the update, will undergo some changes to revert her back to her previous state, according to an announcement on the League of Legends forums.

The upcoming update for LeBlanc will be similar in scope to the changes planned for Rengar, another champion affected by the preseason update. This means that only one or two abilities will be altered for LeBlanc, as was the case with Rengar. Rengar’s Q ability was reverted alongside some new changes to his ultimate ability.

The update is aimed at addressing the divisive changes made to LeBlanc’s abilities. One major issue players have with the update is the addition of a delay to detonating her Sigil of Malice, which is a significant part of her damage output. This delay disrupts LeBlanc’s persona as an assassin, as it forces her to wait longer between ability casts to deal maximum damage. It is likely that this mechanic will be reverted.

Another ability that may be reverted is Distortion, which allows LeBlanc to dash and then teleport back to her original position. The update added a delay after dashing, which forces LeBlanc to wait before teleporting back. If this delay is removed, LeBlanc’s gameplay will become faster and she may be harder to track during fights.

Players can expect to see these changes in about three weeks, when Patch 8.4 launches and the changes are implemented on the PBE.
