Popular League of Legends Champion to Receive Long-Awaited Buffs in Patch 13.20

Jinx Receives Buffs in League of Legends Patch 13.20

In the recent patches of League of Legends, the AD carry meta has been dominated by a small set of champions. However, Riot Games is planning to change that in the upcoming Patch 13.20 by giving some much-needed buffs to one of the weakest champions in the role.

Jinx, one of the most popular marksmen in Runeterra, has been struggling with a low win rate for a while now. With only a 48 percent win rate in Emerald ranks and above, according to U.GG, it’s clear that she needs some help to become relevant again.

Fortunately, Riot’s lead champion designer, August Browning, has announced a set of changes that are currently being tested for the next patch. Jinx will receive a small increase in health per level and a significant decrease in the cooldown speed of her ultimate ability. Additionally, her passive, Get Excited, will now allow the attack speed boost on kills to stack again.

According to game designer David “Phreak” Turley, these changes are aimed at making Jinx less reliant on gold scaling and more of a powerful ADC with impactful abilities. The reduced cooldown on her ultimate will make her even more dangerous in teamfights, while the improved passive stacking will increase her overall DPS.

Struggles and Potential

Jinx has been struggling to keep up with the current meta picks, such as Xayah and Ezreal, due to her lack of versatility and escape tools. She heavily relies on getting kills to activate her passive and lacks the ability to fend off aggressive champions in ganks and late-game teamfights.

However, with these buffs, Jinx has the potential to become a potent DPS machine and a force to be reckoned with in teamfights. The increased attack speed boost and more frequent use of her ultimate ability will greatly enhance her effectiveness in the late game.
