League of Legends Patch 13.19 is about to go live, and Riot Games is already planning an upcoming patch to compensate for Durability Patch 2.0 and nerf runes. Based on Spideraxe’s information, nine runes will undergo significant changes, including major keystones and secondary runes like Taste of Blood. Spideraxe’s tweet (youtube video URL) reveals the specific damage changes for each rune.

The reasoning behind these changes is to reduce the power of runes, making them more of a flavor rather than a source of burst damage. This means that mages won’t be able to instantly eliminate opponents. While some League players on Reddit are concerned about the impact of these changes, it’s important to note that all runes are being affected, resulting in reduced damage throughout the game, particularly in the early stages. However, the Conqueror and Lethal Tempo runes, which are considered the biggest offenders, remain untouched.

Many players agree that these changes are a step in the right direction and are greatly needed in League of Legends. Although Riot has not confirmed which patch these changes will be implemented in, many speculate it will be Patch 13.20.
