2022 LCK Awards: Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo Named Player of the Year

The 2022 LCK Awards were presented today, with Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo taking home the coveted Player of the Year award. Zeka, a member of the Worlds 2022 winning team, was also named the best mid laner in the past 12 months, making him the only DRX player to receive an award at the ceremony.

Recognition for Other Players and Coaches

In addition to the Player of the Year award, other notable awards were given out. The best players for each role in League of Legends were recognized, along with awards for the best coach and the best rookie of the year.

Three T1 players, Choi “Zeus” Woo-je, Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun, and Ryu “Keria” Min-seok, were honored as the best individuals in their respective positions. Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk was named the best AD carry of the year.

Gen.G’s Ko “Score” Dong-bin was celebrated as the best coach of the last year. However, Lee “VicLa” Dae-kwang, former KT Rolster mid laner who recently joined FlyQuest, was overlooked for the best rookie of the year award.
