NA LCS Power Rankings – Week 6 (Summer Split 2016)
The North American League Championship Series (NA LCS) has completed its fifth week, and GAMURS has released its updated power rankings. The rankings are based on the votes submitted by GAMURS staff members who ranked the 10 teams from best to worst.
Team SoloMid (TSM) remains in the top spot after another 2-0 week. TSM defeated both Phoenix1 and Counter Logic Gaming without dropping a single map.
Immortals had another perfect week and retains their second spot in the rankings. Apex Gaming and Cloud9 couldn’t challenge Immortals, who are currently dominating the league.
Team Liquid continues to climb the rankings after defeating both Cloud9 and Team EnVyUs. Liquid’s performances have been impressive, and they seem to have a good understanding of the current team meta.
Cloud9 dropped two series last week against Liquid and Immortals but remain in the fourth spot. Although the losses were disappointing, Cloud9’s overall performance is still strong.
Team EnVyUs dropped another spot after a lackluster performance against Liquid. Despite a strong start to the split, EnVyUs now looks like a team that will falter in the playoffs.
Counter Logic Gaming had another 1-1 week and remains in the sixth spot. It’s difficult to judge the team’s improvement, but they seem to be getting better each week.
Apex Gaming went 0-2 last week but remained in the seventh spot. They lost to both Immortals and Phoenix1, with the latter being a surprise defeat.
NRG eSports moved up one spot in the rankings after a 1-1 week. Their 2-0 win over Echo Fox helped them move ahead, but the team still has many issues to address.
Echo Fox had a rough week, going 0-2 and dropping to the ninth spot. Despite having a strong performance in the previous split, Echo Fox has struggled to find success this season.
Phoenix1 remains in the last spot in the rankings but did manage to secure their first win of the split against Apex. Inori’s impact on the team has been noticeable, and they have the potential to climb out of the bottom spot.
