Pentanet dominates ORDER in Australia’s long-awaited live League of Legends clash

Live League of Legends Returns to Australia with Pentanet.GG’s Victory

After more than 1,098 days of players and fans being locked behind their screens, live League of Legends finally made a triumphant return to Australia. The LCO 2022 Split Two playoffs took place at Olympic Park on Friday, and despite some production delays, Pentanet.GG emerged as the clear winners with a 3-0 victory over ORDER.

Bringing the eSports Community Together

The event attracted a modest crowd at Olympic Park, serving as a prelude to the main LCO clash scheduled for Sunday afternoon. The day was filled with Counter-Strike, Twitch, FGC, and Halo action, culminating in the long-awaited League of Legends showdown.

Pentanet.GG Dominates the Competition

Pentanet.GG, the original LCO champion, asserted their dominance on Summoner’s Rift. They emerged victorious in all three maps, with the exception of one slight challenge. The DreamHack Melbourne crowd was treated to an impressive performance as PGG showcased their skills and left current title holders ORDER struggling to keep up.

A Bungled Move Seals the Victory

The third game of the series finally delivered the spectacle that fans had been waiting for. However, it was too little, too late for ORDER. A mishap during a Baron Nashor take cost them their lead and ultimately put Pentanet.GG firmly in control. Despite a valiant effort to reclaim their position, ORDER couldn’t overcome the significant lead, resulting in a final score of 3-0 in favor of Pentanet.GG.

With this defeat, ORDER’s journey in the League of Legends comes to an end.

Pentanet.GG’s DreamHack Melbourne journey will continue on Sunday at 4 PM AEST. They will face the undefeated Chiefs in the LCO Grand Final. The winner of this match will represent Oceania at the 2022 World Championship.
