PBE Update for League of Legends Targets: Soraka Top and Phase Rush in Patch 10.4

The Soraka Top Meme: Changes Coming to League of Legends PBE

The popular Soraka top lane strategy may not be viable for much longer. According to a recent update on Surrenderat20, the League of Legends Public Beta Environment (PBE) is introducing changes in Patch 10.4 that target Soraka’s laning presence. With a win rate of 55 percent in the top lane, Riot Games has taken notice and is prepared to make adjustments. This update also includes minor changes to Amumu and runes.

To nerf Soraka’s laning phase, her Starcall (Q) ability will now deal only 60 percent damage to minions in the PBE. This change will make it more difficult for Soraka to clear waves and farm, without affecting her effectiveness as a support.

In addition, Riot is testing a reduction in the cooldown for Amumu’s Bandage Toss (Q) from 10/9.5/9/8.5/8 seconds to a consistent eight seconds at all ranks. However, the cooldown and cast range of Amumu’s ultimate will be reverted back to their original values.

Further adjustments will be made to the Phase Rush Keystone, aiming to make it a more viable option for melee champions. The movement speed granted to melee champions will be increased to 30-50 percent, depending on the level. This is significantly faster than the movement speed bonus given to ranged champions, which is only 25-40 percent. The time required to activate Phase Rush will be extended to four seconds, and the movement speed duration will return to three seconds.

Lastly, the Unflinching rune, which provides increased tenacity after casting a Summoner Spell, will receive a slight buff from 15 to 18 percent.

It’s important to note that these PBE adjustments are subject to change before being implemented on live servers.
