The latest update to League of Legends Patch 8.10 brought some love to AP junglers with a big update to the Runic Echoes jungle item. However, it seems that it wasn’t enough to make them truly viable. But don’t worry, because Patch 8.11 is coming with a big buff for the Runic Echoes.
The goal of the Runic Echoes change in 8.10 was to make AP junglers more viable by addressing their mana and cooldown restrictions. This change did help open the door for champions like Fiddlesticks and Elise, but they still couldn’t compete with high AD champions like Kha’Zix and Graves.
Now, Riot is giving AP junglers even more help by increasing the AP on Runic Echoes by 10, bringing it from 60 to 70 AP. And the best part is, the final cost of the item remains the same, so you’re getting more damage without spending more gold.
This is great news for all AP junglers, including those who don’t necessarily build AP items. Even champions like Ivern will benefit from this buff. However, it’s important to note that champions like Kha’Zix and Graves are still very powerful and this buff might not be enough to match their strength.
