Patch 13.15 in LoL potentially brings a new overpowered selection for Arena mode

League of Legends Patch 13.15 Introduces a Powerful New Champion in Arena

League of Legends Patch 13.15 was recently released, and players are already experiencing the impact of a new champion who is quickly becoming a top pick in the Arena game mode.

Bard, a previously underplayed champion in Arena, has received buffs to his chimes and meep AP ratios, making him a formidable force in the game. As a result, he has quickly risen in popularity and has the highest top-two rate and first-place rate in Patch 13.15, according to Blitz, a League of Legends stats aggregate. Players on social media have also taken notice of Bard’s strength, with some expressing that the buffs may have gone too far.

Bard’s success in Arena lies in his enhanced meep auto attacks, which have seen a significant increase in their ability power ratio. Paired with champions with hard crowd control, Bard can dish out immense damage and apply his own crowd control effects. He can also be effective alongside champions who can trap enemies next to walls, making it easier for him to stun opponents with Cosmic Binding.

Arena players typically build Bard with heavy AP items like Luden’s Tempest, Void Staff, and Rabadon’s Deathcap to maximize his burst damage. They also incorporate attack speed items like Rapid Firecannon and Nashor’s Tooth to take advantage of his buffed auto-attack damage. Lich Bane is a crucial item for increasing the damage of his meep-buffed auto attacks.

While Bard’s dominance in the meta may change over time as players discover counters, he is currently a force to be reckoned with in League of Legends Arena.
