Origen reportedly drops Hiiva

Aleksi “Hiiva” Kaikkonen Reportedly Dropped by Origen

The European League Championship Series team, Origen, has reportedly dropped Aleksi “Hiiva” Kaikkonen, their former support player, according to the Riot Games database for League of Legends players.

This means that Hiiva no longer has a contract with Origen and is unlikely to compete with the team in the near future. This news comes after reports of Enrique “xPeke” Cedeno returning to the team in the mid lane, while Yoo “Naehyun” Nae-hyun transitions to the support role.

Changes in Origen’s Roster in Bid to Avoid Relegation

Currently sitting at the bottom of Group B in the EU LCS, Origen faces the risk of relegation from the LCS as a whole if they fail to beat the challenger team in the promotion tournament. In an effort to avoid this fate, Origen has decided to make changes to its roster.

This decision does not come as a surprise to most Origen fans, as Hiiva’s performance received heavy criticism throughout the season. It is now a critical time for the organization, which has been part of the EU LCS since 2015.
