Origen recruits Froggen to enhance their chances for victory in EU Masters

Origen Makes a Comeback with New Roster and Big Signing

Origen, the Spanish League of Legends team founded by Enrique “xPeke” Cedeño Martínez, is making a comeback in the European scene after nearly two years. Last week, Origen hinted at their return in a cryptic tweet, and they have now confirmed their participation in the European Masters tournament starting this month, with a completely new roster. The latest addition to the team is Danish mid laner Henrik “Froggen” Hansen.

A Revival for Froggen

Froggen, like Origen, has been away from the competitive League of Legends scene for quite some time. The former star spent two years in North America with Echo Fox, but failed to make the playoffs before being dropped last offseason. He has had to watch his former organization excel in the NA playoffs while he remained teamless. Now, Froggen has found a new home with Origen alongside two well-known Korean players, jungler Choi “Insec” In-seok and Ki “Expect” Dae-han.

Two Spots Left to Fill

With Froggen joining Origen, the team still needs to find players for the ADC and support positions. One potential candidate is Konstantinos “FORG1VEN” Tzortziou, a well-known EU ADC who has connections to xPeke. However, FORG1VEN has a complicated history with Origen, making it uncertain if they will choose him. The rest of the roster is expected to be announced soon, as the EU Masters series is scheduled to start on April 9.

Aiming for Redemption

Origen has a lot to prove after facing management issues towards the end of their EU LCS run. Their comeback in the European scene hinges on their ability to resolve these issues and perform well in the upcoming tournaments.
