Origen defeats Vitality using Camille mid and a Sona-Tahm Kench bot lane

Unique Compositions and Strong Performances Highlight the Start of the LEC Summer Split

The 2019 LEC Summer Split kicked off with exciting games and unexpected team compositions. In a match between Origen and Vitality, Origen’s AD carry Patrik Jírů and his team showcased a Sona-Tahm Kench bottom lane, while mid laner Erlend “Nukeduck” Våtevik Holm opted for Camille.

This unconventional composition proved to be effective, emphasizing quick decision-making and decisive team fights. Origen displayed controlled aggression and consistently found advantageous skirmishes. With the combination of Jarvan IV, Sejuani, Camille, and Sona, their team comp boasted excellent engage tools, lockdown crowd control, and sustain.

Alfonso “Mithy” Aguirre Rodríguez performed exceptionally well on Tahm Kench, repeatedly saving Sona from precarious situations. However, it was Patrik who stood out, securing 12 kills with the Maven of the Strings and earning the player of the game title.

On the contrary, Vitality struggled to respond to Origen’s rapid attacks. Their Taric support proved ineffective against the burst damage of Origen’s team. Additionally, despite having Jayce, Olaf, Sivir, and Azir in their composition, Vitality couldn’t establish a foothold throughout the match.

Upcoming Challenges for Origen

Looking ahead, Origen faces a formidable opponent in G2 Esports. Tomorrow’s match will be an opportunity for Origen to seek redemption after their defeat in the LEC Spring Split finals last season.
