OpTic’s Scarlet triumphs in LCS debut against TSM

OpTic Gaming Upsets TSM in LCS Week 4

OpTic Gaming surprised viewers in their recent LCS match against TSM, as they came out on top despite missing their star mid laner Lee “Crown” Min-ho due to health issues. Led by Academy mid laner Marcel “Scarlet” Wiederhofer’s impressive performance on Vladamir, OpTic staged a 40-minute comeback win against TSM. Scarlet, making his LCS debut, faced the challenge of going up against one of the league’s best mid laners, Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg, but he delivered and played a crucial role in OpTic’s victory. Scarlet executed a beautiful flank that gave OpTic control of the game, turning the tide in their favor.

In an interview after the match, Scarlet admitted that there was some pressure on him to make the right moves and not repeat any previous mistakes, but he knew that the flank was necessary for their success. Despite TSM’s strong late game champions, OpTic maintained map control and shut down any attempt by TSM to regain control of the game. Scarlet showcased the confidence of an LCS veteran and expressed his gratitude for his supportive teammates.

OpTic will now face Echo Fox in their final match before the Rift Rivals break. This victory against a Spring Split finalist has undoubtedly boosted their confidence and set a positive tone for the team moving forward.
