Only 8 Pick’em participants correctly predicted the 2020 Worlds.

The 2020 League of Legends World Championship: DAMWON Gaming is Crowned Champion

The 2020 League of Legends World Championship has officially come to a close, with DAMWON Gaming emerging as the victor and lifting the Summoner’s Cup.

This year, eight Pick’em participants managed to correctly predict the outcome of every match throughout the tournament. As a reward, they will receive an Alienware Battlestation, the same equipment used by professional players to compete on the Worlds stage.

Before the final match, there were initially 12 Pick’em participants remaining. However, four of them predicted Suning to win and were eliminated from the challenge.

While over 3,000 players accurately predicted the group stages, the knockout stage proved to be more challenging. Many favored teams failed to make it to the final stages of the event, surprising both fans and experts alike.

Pick’em Challengers and Prizes

Each year, Riot Games hosts the Pick’em challengers for the League of Legends World Championship. Participants can lock in their predictions for the tournament and have the chance to win various prizes, including Hextech chests, Summoner Icons, Blue Essence, and more.

This year’s Pick’em challenge has seen a significant improvement in the accuracy of predictions. In the 2019 World Championship, only one fan correctly predicted the entire outcome and won the grand prize of all five Ultimate skins.
