Only 230 League of Legends fans stay on track for perfect Pick’ems after Worlds 2020 quarterfinals

League of Legends World Championship Quarterfinals: Only 230 Pick’em Players Predicted All Matches Correctly

The League of Legends World Championship quarterfinals for 2020 have concluded, and the numbers are in. A total of 230 Pick’em players have successfully predicted all of the main event’s matches so far. These fans will now head into the semifinals with their heads held high.

Challenging Predictions and Prizes

Riot Games allows fans to make bracket predictions for each World Championship, giving them a chance to win prizes. While it has proven to be a challenging task over the years, only one person out of millions managed to correctly guess last year’s outcome and earn all five ultimate skins as a reward.

Predicting the Outcome

For this year’s tournament, a total of 3,050 people accurately predicted all group-stage matches. However, following the first half of the quarterfinals, that number dropped to just 574. In the end, only 230 fans successfully predicted the outcome of the weekend’s matches, which included Top Esports’ impressive reverse sweep against Fnatic and G2 Esports’ clean 3-0 victory over Gen.G.

Next Steps and Prizes

The Worlds 2020 tournament continues with the semifinals match between DAMWON Gaming and G2 on Oct. 24 at 5am CT. Those who have correctly predicted the tournament’s outcome so far still have a shot at winning the grand prize: an Alienware Battlestation, the same type of PCs that pro players use for Worlds matches. Other rewards from this year’s Pick’em include summoner icons, random champion shards, and crafting essence.

League of Legends fans will be able to accumulate more points when predictions open for the semifinals later today.
