One player dominates the laning phase at Worlds 2022

League of Legends Worlds 2022: GALA Dominating Early Game in Group Stage

When it comes to the group stage of the 2022 League of Legends World Championship, GALA from Royal Never Give Up is leading the pack in early game performance.

GALA, the Mid-Season Invitational champion, is significantly outperforming other players in the laning phase of Worlds 2022. He has been able to accumulate a massive gold and experience advantage at the 10-minute mark, placing him firmly ahead in the rankings.

According to Oracle’s Elixir, GALA has an impressive 815 gold difference at 10 minutes compared to his lane opponent. Additionally, he has recorded an average experience difference of 581 at the same point in the game. GALA also holds the second-highest KDA in the group stage with a score of 40, just two points behind his teammate Wei.

These outstanding stats set GALA apart from the other players in the rankings. Knight from Top Esports currently holds second place in both categories with a 632 gold difference and 496 experience difference.

RNG’s flawless performance in the first week of the group stage makes GALA’s impressive performance somewhat expected. On the other hand, Knight’s exceptional stats come as a surprise, considering Top Esports has only won one game so far.

The action continues on Thursday, Oct. 13, with Worlds 2022. Royal Never Give Up will play their remaining matches on Sunday, Oct. 16, while Top Esports will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 15.
