One Champion Reigns Supreme in League of Legends Patch 13.10, but Victories Prove Elusive

Yasuo’s Rising Popularity in League of Legends

Ever since League of Legends Patch 13.10, Yasuo has emerged as the most popular mid-lane champion, with players both picking him and banning him frequently. Even though his win rate is below average on the Rift, he continues to dominate the mid-lane.

According to U.GG, Yasuo currently holds a win rate of 48.52 percent across all ranks. Despite this, he remains the top choice for mid-lane champions. This is quite remarkable and there is a reason behind it.

Yasuo is not only a fun and exciting champion to play, but he is also frustrating to play against. His kit is relatively easy to understand, but mastering the combos and abilities takes time. Additionally, his ability to swiftly move in and out of a fight and block enemy projectiles with his Wind Wall makes him a formidable opponent. The fact that he wields a katana also makes him a favorite among Yasuo fans.

The Bane of Yasuo’s Opponents

However, if you find yourself playing against Yasuo, he can quickly become your worst nightmare. He is incredibly fast, capable of evading attacks, and his Wind Wall (W) can block your own attacks, leading to immense frustration.

Furthermore, there is a negative stereotype associated with players who main Yasuo, regardless of their skill level. When all of these factors are combined, it is no surprise that Yasuo is both the most picked and one of the most banned mid-lane champions.

Yasuo’s Popular Builds and Potential for Improvement

Most Yasuo enthusiasts are sticking to the same build: Lethal Tempo, Triumph, Legend: Alacrity, and Last Stand, along with Second Wind, Unflinching, Offense, Flex, and magic resist Defense. However, alternative builds such as On-Hit Yasuo and tank builds are also showing success, albeit to a lesser extent.

Despite the reworked items Galeforce, Bloodthirster, and Phantom Dancer, which are core items for Yasuo, his win rate has only seen a slight improvement. This suggests that his kit may require some reworking or adjustments.

The Future for Yasuo

Unfortunately, Patch 13.10 did not deliver the win-rate boost that Yasuo needed. However, it did increase his popularity, although not necessarily in a way that Yasuo mains would have hoped to see. Only time will tell if The Unforgiven One can bounce back before Patch 13.11.
