Odoamne discusses transitioning from S04 to Rogue and performance in the 2021 LEC Spring Split

Rogue: Stronger Than Ever

Last year, Rogue established themselves as one of the best teams in Europe in the game League of Legends. And this split, they continue to dominate.

During the offseason, Rogue made some roster changes, including the addition of veteran top laner Odoamne. These changes have made the team even stronger. In fact, they secured second place in the 2021 LEC Spring Split regular season. This season, Rogue is the biggest challenger to face G2, a formidable opponent.

Odoamne’s transition to Rogue from an underdog team like Schalke 04 has been smooth. Despite the change, he feels his role and communication style remain the same.

“I don’t think my role changed much from last year. I feel like I’m doing the same things that I did in Schalke, at least in terms of communication and playstyle,” said Odoamne.

Odoamne embraces the pressure that comes with being on Rogue. He explains, “The pressure is a welcome change because before, in Schalke, you had the pressure of not making playoffs and losing every game. But now, the pressure is that we are facing really good teams, and we need to win against these really good teams.”

Odoamne’s impact on his new team has positioned him as a top contender for the LEC Spring Split MVP award. Despite his long career in the League, he believes he is currently playing at his highest level.

“I would say I’m at my peak right now because it’s the highest level I’ve played so far in League. It’s mostly because I’ve experienced a lot of failures in the past,” Odoamne shared. “I’ve been on rosters with a lot of talent that were very good, like the 2016 H2K. But I feel like I didn’t get the most out of those rosters because I wasn’t as good back then as I am now.”
