Nuguri rumored to make comeback with DWG KIA for 2022 LCK Summer Split

Nuguri to Return to DWG KIA for 2022 LCK Spring Split

According to Korizon Esports, Nuguri is set to make his comeback and rejoin DWG KIA for the 2022 LCK Spring Split.

The 22-year-old took a break from competitive play in November 2021 after leaving FunPlus Phoenix in the LPL.

Nuguri was a key part of DWG KIA’s dominant 2020 roster that won the Summoner’s Cup at the League of Legends World Championship.

However, in 2021, Nuguri struggled to meet expectations with FPX, and the team failed to advance past the group stage at Worlds.

Despite originally planning a sabbatical, Nuguri has reconsidered and will likely replace Burdol as the starting top laner for DWG KIA.

DWG KIA has also faced challenges, finishing third in the 2022 LCK Spring Split and losing in the playoffs semifinals to Gen.G.

The addition of Nuguri could revitalize the team for the next split as they aim for success.
