Nuguri pushes FunPlus Phoenix to victory against Top Esports during the sixth week of 2021 LPL Summer Split

Nuguri leads FunPlus Phoenix to Victory over Top Esports in LPL Summer Split

FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) secured a dominant 2-0 win over Top Esports (TES) in the sixth week of the 2021 LPL Summer Split. TES, despite their previous strong performances, struggled to keep up with FPX’s decisive movement and objective control.

Nuguri and Doinb Shine in the Series

Nuguri and Doinb, the solo laners for FPX, stood out in the series and picked up the MVP votes. Nuguri showed his skill with an impressive Gwen performance, dominating teamfights against TES. Meanwhile, Doinb’s Galio gameplay was on point, consistently providing crucial ultimates to secure clean teamfight wins.

FPX’s Aggressive Playstyle Prevails

In the first match, FPX opted for a heavy dive composition, while TES focused on engaging with their own aggressive picks. Although TES tried to make a comeback, FPX secured the crucial Mountain Dragon Soul, ultimately sealing their victory.

FPX’s Dominance Continues in the Second Match

In the second match, FPX capitalized on TES’s confusion and took control of the game early on. With aggressive plays and pressure on the map, FPX maintained their lead and closed out the series with a dominant teamfight.

FPX’s next matches are against Oh My God and Suning, which should be relatively easy victories for them as they continue to challenge EDG for the top spot in the standings.
