NRG’s Santorin Departs the Team

Danish Jungler Santorin Leaves NRG Esports

Danish jungler Lucas “Santorin” Larsen has departed from NRG Esports after their relegation from the North American LCS. Santorin announced on Twitter that he is now a free agent and is grateful for all offers.

The venture capital-funded team, NRG Esports, had a disappointing season, winning only four matches and facing 14 defeats. In the do-or-die match against Echo Fox, they were swept three games to zero.

Despite the team’s poor performance, Santorin is considered one of their most promising players. He expressed openness to offers and a desire to stay in North America rather than returning to Europe.

Santorin has a history in North America, starting with Team Coast and moving on to TSM before joining Ember and eventually NRG Esports. He has faced criticism in the past but has shown resilience and determination.

NRG Esports has not yet provided any updates on their team’s future after relegation. It remains uncertain whether they will compete in the Challenger Series in 2017 with their current roster.
