Nisqy Holds a Brutal All-Time Record Against Major Region LoL Teams Internationally

The Struggles of Nisqy on the International Stage

Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer is a well-known player in the Western League of Legends scene. However, he has faced difficulties when competing against teams from major regions on the international stage.

During the 2023 League World Championship Swiss stage, MAD Lions from Europe lost to Cloud9 from North America. This loss adds to Nisqy’s history of struggles against rival teams from major regions, especially in the LEC.

Since Nisqy started his professional League career, he has participated in seven international tournaments, including Mid-Season Invitationals, Worlds, and Rift Rivals. Throughout this time, he has only won two games against teams from major regions, such as LCS, LCK, and LPL.

A Lack of International Success

In 2018, Nisqy played for Splyce alongside other well-known European players. They attended Rift Rivals, where they managed to secure one win against Team Liquid. However, when he joined Cloud9 in 2019, the team struggled against major region teams, facing losses at Rift Rivals and Worlds against teams like G2 Esports and Griffin.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Nisqy’s next international appearance was in the 2021 season. He secured another victory at Worlds by defeating the LPL’s Royal Never Give Up. Nonetheless, his overall record in the tournament was 1-5, with losses against RNG, Hanwha Life Esports, and PSG Talon.

Since 2022, Nisqy has faced consecutive losses against major region teams, failing to secure a single win in MAD Lions’ disappointing performances at Worlds 2022 play-in stage and MSI 2023. With the recent loss against C9, Nisqy’s current record stands at 2-26 against major regions.

This means that out of 28 attempts, Nisqy has only managed to win two games.

The Hopes of European Fans

European fans are hoping for a change in Nisqy’s performance in the rest of Worlds. However, their next opponent is Team BDS, another representative from the LEC. You can catch the action when Worlds 2023 continues on Friday, Oct. 20.
