Nisqy Acknowledges MAD Lions’ Need for Improvement Against Dominant Teams in Worlds 2022 Play-Ins

MAD Lions Find Success on First Day of League of Legends World Championship

The 2022 League of Legends World Championship began yesterday, and LEC’s MAD Lions had a successful first day with victories over Isurus and Istanbul Wildcats. However, they still have tough matches ahead against LPL’s RNG and LCK’s DRX.

MAD Lions Mid Laner Nisqy Believes There’s Room for Improvement

Despite going undefeated on the first day, MAD Lions’ mid laner Yasin “Nisqy” Dincer doesn’t believe the team’s performance was strong enough to compete against the best teams in the group.

Technical Issues and Little Preparation Time

In a post-game interview with Laure Vallee, Nisqy admitted that the team performed better in practice matches than on the stage. He mentioned some details that they need to fix before their match against RNG today at 9pm CT. He also mentioned that the team had little time to prepare for the series due to technical issues.

Fixing the Little Details is Crucial

Nisqy acknowledged the need to fix the small mistakes and emphasized their importance. He believes that if they don’t improve, it will be challenging to finish first or second in the group. The mistakes they made could be punished by DRX and RNG.

Playing Their Own Style and Being Aggressive

To secure a win against RNG, Nisqy stated that they plan to play their own style rather than emulate other teams. He also mentioned the importance of being aggressive and catching their opponents off guard. Hesitation will only result in defeat.

Challenges in the Play-In Stage

MAD Lions find themselves in the Play-In group alongside DRX and RNG, who are the favorites to qualify for the main event. They will either need to surpass one of these top teams or defeat the second-placed team from another group in the Knockout stage if they finish third.

Minor Teams Can’t Be Underestimated

Nisqy and support Kaiser warned against underestimating teams from minor regions. They believe that minor region teams have improved this year and that MAD Lions will need to give their all to succeed.
