Ninja Departs from Team EnVyUs

Team EnVyUs Parts Ways with Mid Laner Ninja

Team EnVyUs has announced that they have parted ways with their NA LCS mid laner, Noh “Ninja” Geon-woo. The organization made this announcement via a tweet earlier today.

To fill Ninja’s spot, the rest of EnVyUs’ League of Legends team is currently in Korea for tryouts.

A History with Renegades and Team Dragon Knights

Ninja initially joined the team in 2016 when Renegades owned the NA LCS spot. As part of a two-way trade deal between Renegades and Team Dragon Knights, Ninja, along with Shin “Seraph” Woo-yeong, helped Renegades make it through the 2016 Summer Promotion Tournament.

A Decline in Performance

However, in 2017, Ninja’s performance started to decline. He was no longer able to carry his team like he did in 2016, and fell behind the other mid laners in the league. Fans and analysts criticized his play during this period, putting pressure on him. Nevertheless, Team EnVyUs managed to survive the 2017 Summer Promotion, defeating Gold Coin United in a hard-fought best-of-five.

Future Plans

At the moment, it is unknown whether Team EnVyUs will make any further changes to their NA LCS roster. Ninja has not yet revealed his future plans.
