Newly Introduced League of Legends Rune, Treasure Hunter, Replaces Ravenous Hunter on PBE

Riot Games Introduces New Rune, Treasure Hunter, to Replace Ravenous Hunter in League of Legends

Riot Games is set to replace the Ravenous Hunter rune in League of Legends with a new rune called Treasure Hunter, according to recent reports. This new rune is currently available on the League of Legends PBE (Public Beta Environment).

Treasure Hunter is designed to grant additional gold to players the first time they achieve a unique takedown, making it an excellent choice for early game assassins with high mobility. Additionally, this new rune increases the gold earned by an additional 20 for each stack of the Bounty Hunter effect. Players earn stacks by securing unique takedowns against opposing champions.

YouTuber Ryscu has shared a video on their YouTube channel, where they test the new Treasure Hunter rune on the League of Legends PBE. In the video, they demonstrate how the first takedown grants an extra 20 gold, and highlight how the amount of gold collected exponentially increases with each subsequent takedown. After collecting two Bounty Hunter stacks, the player receives 130 gold, and it eventually stacks up to 170 gold after obtaining every unique takedown.

Compared to the current Domination secondary rune, which grants 1.2 percent omnivamp for each Bounty Stack up to a maximum of five stacks, Ravenous Hunter seems more beneficial for players who excel in the mid to late game. On the other hand, the new Treasure Hunter rune could benefit champions with high mobility, particularly those who have the potential to achieve five takedowns in the early stages of the game.

Although Riot Games has yet to make an official announcement regarding the Treasure Hunter rune, it is possible that significant changes will be implemented based on community feedback. There is a chance that the rune will become available on the live servers in the upcoming patch, scheduled to be released on March 30. Until then, players will have to make do with Ravenous Hunter.
