Newly Discovered Service Exploits ‘League of Legends’ with Drophacking

League of Legends Players Exploiting Server DDOS Attacks to Avoid Rankings Drop

Ranking up in competitive League of Legends is simple: just win. Losing a game will negatively impact your rank. However, some players have discovered a loophole to avoid this ratings hit – they deliberately knock out the game server.

Distributed denial of service (DDOS) attacks have become a growing problem in League of Legends, and now a new service is making these attacks even easier.

A platform called “Instinct Dropper” has been promoted on multiple hacking forums for several months. It offers paying customers the tools to “drop hack” games.

Drop Hacking works by DDOSing the game server, causing all players to disconnect simultaneously and erasing the match history. This allows players who are losing to terminate the game without it affecting their overall rating. The service is available for a monthly fee of $20.

Instinct Dropper claims to offer “unique attack methods” that make it untraceable. While the popularity of the service is unknown, reliable sources suggest that it is gaining traction, with hundreds of recurring subscribers.

This is not the first time Riot Games, the company behind League of Legends, has had to combat such services. In March, the company shut down a website called lolip-op.com, which provided player IP addresses and offered DDOS services. The person responsible for that website, 21-year-old Shane Duffy from Queensland, Australia, was arrested in March and is currently awaiting trial.

It is crucial for the gaming community and developers to work together to address these security threats and ensure a fair and competitive environment for all players.
