YoungBuck’s Vision for Fnatic

In an official statement on Fnatic’s website, YoungBuck expressed his excitement about his new role: “I am elated to announce that I will be the Team Director for Fnatic for the upcoming two seasons. Within this role, I am looking to manage the League of Legends staff, bring a new vision and direction, and establish a healthy team culture. My aim is to bring Fnatic back to being the best team in the West.”

Notable Achievements

One of YoungBuck’s notable achievements was leading G2 Esports to the finals of the 2017 Mid-Season Invitational, where they finished as runners-up to SK Telecom T1.

Transition from G2 Esports

YoungBuck announced his free agency from G2 Esports on November 2, 2017, shortly before the World Championship final between Samsung Galaxy and SK Telecom T1. He had been with G2 Esports since December 2015, guiding them to four successive EU LCS titles.

Continuity with Head Coach Dylan Falco

In addition to YoungBuck’s appointment, Fnatic confirmed that head coach Dylan Falco, who coached Fnatic in the Summer Split, will be returning for the 2018 Spring Split. Falco expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming season and working with YoungBuck and Michael, saying, “Working with Joey and Michael has already been a great experience, and I can’t wait to see what we accomplish in 2018.”

With the addition of YoungBuck and the completion of their roster and staff lineup, Fnatic is positioning itself as the team to beat in the upcoming EU LCS, which kicks off on January 19.
