New Contract Signed by Faker with SK Telecom T1

SKT T1 renews contract with Faker

Renowned midlaner Lee “Faker” Sanghyeok has extended his contract with SK Telecom T1, ending his brief period as a free agent.

SK Telecom T1 confirmed the news on social media, stating, “Lee “Faker” Sanghyeok, Lee “Effort” Sangho, and Han “Leo” Kyeore have all renewed their contract with SKT T1. We look forward to your support for these three players in the 2019 season.”

The announcement comes after SKT T1 released former world champions Kang “Blank” Sun-gu, Bae “Bang” Jun-sik, and Lee “Wolf” Jae-wan.

While Effort and Leo are still part of the roster, it remains uncertain if they will feature in the starting lineup or if SKT T1 intends to rebuild the roster around Faker by signing four new big names.

Regardless of the team’s plans, retaining Faker is a major win for SKT T1. With most teams in the LCK undergoing extensive roster changes for the 2019 season, the league promises an exciting off-season.
