New announcer pack with Phreak and Kobe’s voices coming to League

League of Legends Announcer Pack Featuring NA LCS Casters Coming Soon

Experience the thrill of being an LCS player in solo queue with the upcoming League of Legends announcer pack. According to the latest PBE update, this brand new pack will be voiced by NA LCS casters, David “Phreak” Turley and Sam “Kobe” Hartman-Kenzler.

Riot Games typically reserves custom announcer packs for special game modes and events. However, these packs are very rare even for such occasions. Usually, players are greeted by the same voice every time they enter the game.

But now, get ready to hear Kobe say “You do you, minion bros” and experience a new level of immersion in the game.

Possible Use for the Announcer Pack

Although the complete pack was pulled from the PBE, its specific use is still unclear. One possibility is that it will be released during the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI). This is supported by the numerous MSI props and features that are coming to the Rift. However, neither Kobe nor Phreak mention the tournament explicitly, so it could serve another purpose entirely.

Keep the Banter or Disable the Pack

If you’re not a fan of the casting duo constantly talking about your double kills or questioning the legitimacy of minions, you have the option to disable the announcer pack once it becomes available in-game. However, why would you want to miss out on Phreak reassuring you that you still have more turrets or hearing Kobe say “Get out there and kill ’em” at the start of the game, like a father sending his child off to murder school? It’s an experience you won’t want to miss.

Get ready for an announcer pack that has everything you’ll ever need – puns, banter, and hype. Patch 8.9 will bring this voice pack to League of Legends in approximately two weeks.

Don’t miss out on this exciting addition to the game!
