Nemesis to Sit Out the 2021 Spring Split

Nemesis Announces He Won’t Compete in 2021 Spring Split

Fnatic’s former mid laner, Nemesis, has revealed that he will not be participating in the upcoming 2021 Spring Split of League of Legends. After spending two years with Fnatic, Nemesis stated that he had opportunities to join other teams in the LEC, but found them to be lacking sufficient interest. Consequently, he has decided to take a break from competitive play.

Missed Opportunities for an LEC Championship

During Nemesis’ time with Fnatic, the team consistently performed well in the LEC, consistently remaining in the top-three. However, their success coincided with the rise of G2 Esports, preventing Nemesis from securing an LEC championship. Despite having three opportunities to win the trophy from the 2019 Spring Split to the 2020 Summer Split, Fnatic faced defeat against G2 in the grand finals on all occasions, being swept in both the spring and summer finals in 2020.

World Championship Experience with Fnatic

Fortunately, Nemesis gained valuable experience by participating in the World Championship with Fnatic in both 2019 and 2020. While the team successfully made it to the knockout stage each year, they were ultimately eliminated from the tournament both times. Nemesis plans to share more updates about his future plans for the following year soon.
