NA LCS Summer Split Schedule Released: Save the Dates!

Riot Games Surprises NA LCS Fans with Early Release of Summer Split Schedule

Riot Games has pleasantly surprised fans of the NA LCS by releasing the schedule for the Summer Split ahead of schedule. You can check out the schedule here.

Later Start Date for NA LCS Summer Split

The NA LCS Summer Split is scheduled to begin on June 16, which is later than previous years. In the past, the Summer Split started within the first three days of June, sometimes even earlier.

A Break for Teams and Players

This later start date allows NA LCS teams that couldn’t attend the Mid-Season Invitational to have a break of over two months. It also gives Team Liquid, who will be participating in MSI, at least a month off from stage play before returning to the NA LCS.

Previously, teams attending MSI had no break and had to immediately dive back into practice to prepare for the Summer Split.

Exciting Matchups and Finals

The Summer Split will begin with an exciting rematch of the Spring Split final between Team Liquid and 100 Thieves. This brings back a longstanding NA LCS tradition that was absent during the Spring Split. Following that, TSM and CLG will face off, which is a fan-favorite matchup.

The regular season of the Summer Split will conclude on Aug. 19, with TSM and Team Liquid going head-to-head in the final best-of-one match before the playoffs.

Playoff Details Yet to be Revealed

Details about the Summer Split playoffs, including dates and the finals venue, have not yet been announced by Riot Games. They will most likely be revealed as the Summer Split gets underway.

Team Roster Updates

While the schedule is out, several NA LCS teams, including FlyQuest and OpTic Gaming, have yet to finalize their rosters for the Summer Split. It is unknown if any other teams, aside from Golden Guardians, OpTic Gaming, and FlyQuest, will make roster changes during this mid-season break.
