Role Matchups

Top Lane

An “Balls” Le vs. Diego “Quas” Ruiz

Balls and Quas have similar KDA and Kill Participation, but Quas outperforms Balls in terms of damage dealt to champions per minute and damage share in his team. Quas also has a better track record when it comes to First Bloods and investments in vision control. Overall, Quas has an advantage in the top lane.

Jungle

William “Meteos” Hartman vs. Christian “IWillDominate” Rivera

Meteos plays a more carry-oriented role, excelling in damage dealt to champions, gold share, and has a much lower death count compared to IWDominate. Meteos also matches Dom’s vision control despite using an upgraded yellow trinket instead of a Sightstone. Therefore, Meteos has an advantage in the jungle.

Mid Lane

Hai “Hai” Lam vs. Jae-Hoon “FeniX” Kim

Hai and FeniX have similar KDA but differ in damage dealt to champions. FeniX out-earns Hai in the laning phase, but Hai has a better gold differential at 10 minutes, indicating his ability to deny farm from opponents. Both players have been victimized three times for First Blood. Hai stands out in terms of vision contribution, placing more wards and clearing enemy wards more effectively. The mid lane matchup is too close to call.

AD Carry

Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi vs. Gwang-Jin “Piglet” Chae

Sneaky has had an exceptional season statistically, outperforming Piglet in terms of KDA, damage share, and earning more gold per minute. However, Piglet’s recent performances in the Quarterfinals show improvement. While the AD Carry matchup may not be as one-sided as it seems, Sneaky still has the advantage.

Support

Daerek “LemonNation” Hart vs. Alex “Xpecial” Chu

LemonNation has a higher KDA and Kill Participation compared to Xpecial. Xpecial excels in ward placement, but both Supports clear enemy wards at the same rate. LemonNation has a more diverse and creative champion pool, which could give Cloud9 an edge.

Team Statistics

Cloud9 has a shorter average game length, indicating their ability to gain early advantages and convert them into wins. They also secure the first tower more often than Team Liquid. However, Team Liquid has strong Dragon control. In terms of vision control, Team Liquid places more wards, but Cloud9 is better at clearing enemy wards. The combat advantage goes to Cloud9, while early game advantage is also in their favor. The vision advantage is too close to call.

Summary

Based on the statistics, Cloud9 holds an advantage in three out of five positions: Jungle, AD Carry, and Support. Team Liquid needs standout performances from FeniX and Piglet to have a chance at victory. While Cloud9 has an advantage in the early game, Team Liquid’s experience in pushing games late and team fighting could pose a challenge. However, Cloud9’s superior shot calling and map movement give them an edge in objective control. My prediction is a 3-1 win for Cloud9.
