Mikyx and Kobbe to Remain with Splyce for 2017 Season

Splyce Retains Key Players for 2017 EU LCS

Despite rumors of disbandment, Splyce has managed to keep two more players for the upcoming season. Kasper “Kobbe” Kobberup and Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle have renewed their contracts with the team and will represent Splyce in the EU LCS for 2017. This comes after Jonas “Trashy” Andersen also agreed to stay on the team.

Mikyx had initially expressed interest in exploring his options as a free agent, but ultimately decided to stay with the North American organization. As for top laner Martin “Wunder” Hansen and mid laner Chris “Sencux” Laursen, they are currently testing the free agent market.

Mikyx joined Splyce in April after previously playing for Fnatic, while Kobbe has been with the team since its formation, having come from Team Dignitas EU when Splyce acquired the LCS spot. The team’s coach, Jakob “YamatoCannon” Mebdi, will also continue to lead the team next year following their successful run at the World Championships.

After an impressive turnaround, going from facing relegation in the Spring to making it to the World Championships in the Summer, Splyce aims to build on their progress next year. With the majority of their squad intact, the team looks forward to another successful season.

Update 27/11/16 5:00pm central: Chris “Sencux” Laursen has re-signed with the team, as confirmed by his tweet. Negotiations are also ongoing with Martin “Wunder” Hansen.
