Mark and Xiye make a comeback to LGD Gaming

Support Ling “Mark” Xu and mid laner Su “Xiye” Han-Wei Return to LGD Gaming

Chinese League of Legends team, LGD Gaming, has officially announced the return of support player Ling “Mark” Xu and mid laner Su “Xiye” Han-Wei, according to their Weibo page.

Players’ Background

Both players had previously left LGD in December 2020. After leaving LGD, Mark joined Bilibili Gaming. However, Bilibili Gaming had a mediocre performance in the last split of the LPL, finishing in 11th place. On the other hand, Xiye became a part of JD Gaming and helped the team secure a top-six spot in the 2021 LPL Spring Split playoffs.

Reunion with LGD

Recently, LGD made the decision to bring back Mark and Xiye. This move comes after LGD’s disappointing performance in the 2021 LPL Spring Split, where they only managed to achieve four wins and suffered 12 losses.

Past Achievements and Hopes for the Future

During their initial time with LGD, Mark and Xiye contributed to the team’s success, including a 6th place finish in the 2020 LPL Summer Split and a top-four placement in the playoffs. LGD even qualified for the prestigious Worlds 2020 event, although they ended up in the top 12. With the return of Mark and Xiye, LGD aims to improve their performance and compete for a spot at Worlds once again in the upcoming 2021 LPL Summer Split.
