Marin Joins LGD Gaming

Jang “MaRin” Gyeong-hwan Signs with LGD Gaming

The biggest free agent in League of Legends is no longer available, as Jang “MaRin” Gyeong-hwan has signed with LGD Gaming, a prominent Chinese team. This move comes after MaRin’s successful run in the 2015 World Championship, where he led SK Telecom T1 to their second world title and earned MVP honors as the team’s top laner and shot caller. Known as the “Faker of the top lane,” MaRin showcased his ability to carry games on various champions while providing leadership to his team.

For LGD Gaming, MaRin’s in-game leadership is an enticing addition. Last year, the Chinese organization made waves in free agency by acquiring world champion AD carry Gu “Imp” Seung-bin and two talented top laners. However, the team faltered at the world championship due to coaching staff and leadership issues. MaRin’s arrival not only enhances the team’s talent but also brings valuable shot calling experience. Furthermore, his addition allows Choi to move into an assistant coaching position, addressing a major weakness from the previous season.

In a busy offseason of player transfers, MaRin was undoubtedly the most sought-after player. Joining LGD Gaming presents the perfect opportunity for him to step out of Faker’s shadow and compete for a world title alongside a roster of exceptional players.
