Maple departs from PSG Talon

League of Legends Mid Laner Maple Departs PSG Talon

Taiwanese mid laner Huang “Maple” Yi-Tang has officially left PSG Talon, marking the fourth roster change for the team following their failure to qualify for the Worlds 2021 playoffs. The team finished in third place in Group C with three wins and three losses. The previous roster changes saw coach Kwon “Helper” Yeong-jae leave in October, while jungler Kim “River” Dong-woo and top laner Wong “Kartis” Ka Lok parted ways with the organization in mid-November.

Maple’s Contributions and Achievements

Maple joined PSG Talon in December 2020 after departing from LNG Esports. With the Hong Kong-Taiwanese team, he played a vital role in their victories at the PCS Spring in April 2021 and PCS Summer in August 2021. The team also performed admirably in the Mid-Season Invitational, reaching the semifinals before falling to Royal Never Give Up.

Current PSG Talon Roster

Following Maple’s departure, PSG Talon’s roster now consists of only three players: bot laner Wong “Unified” Chun Kit, support Ling “Kaiwing” Kai Wing, and top laner Su “Hanabi” Chia-Hsiang. Hanabi’s contract expired in November, and it remains unclear whether he will remain on the roster for 2022.

Future Lineup and Free Agency

As the free agency period continues since the conclusion of Worlds 2021, PSG Talon is expected to announce its new lineup soon.
