MAD Lions’ Hilarious Statement Dominates LoL MSI Qualification Apology

MAD Lions Apologize for Winning LEC Spring Split and Qualifying for MSI 2023

MAD Lions had a surprising win in the 2023 Spring Split and became EMEA’s first seed for the Mid-Season Invitational 2023. However, they didn’t expect it either and released an apology video for their shocked fans.

In the apology video, James “Mac” MacCormack, MAD’s head coach, dressed in a suit and tie, apologized to the fans for winning the split and making it to another international tournament.

“Our accidental victory over all of the other teams in the LEC again was a tragedy that should never have happened,” Mac said sincerely. He emphasized that MAD is deeply sorry and repeated this phrase multiple times throughout the two-and-a-half-minute video.

However, Mac reassured viewers that the purpose of the video was not to seek forgiveness, but simply to convey their sincere apologies.

This short video is also a humorous response to the critics who doubted MAD throughout the 2023 season, claiming they couldn’t compete domestically or internationally. It proves that MAD has the ability to perform and should not be underestimated.

Since joining the LEC in 2020, MAD has faced many critics. They have qualified for all three World Championships but have only finished in the play-in stage twice. Despite the doubts, they now have the opportunity to prove themselves at MSI 2023.

Even if MAD falls short at MSI, one thing is clear—they know how to make great apology videos.
