MAD Lions Allegedly Extends Elyoya’s Contract by 3 Years

Elyoya Extends Contract with MAD Lions for Three More Years

According to Wooloo on Nov. 7, Elyoya has reportedly extended his contract with MAD Lions for three more years. The star jungler joined the League of Legends team in 2021 and has since become one of the best players in the LEC. Despite a roster reshuffle on the horizon, Elyoya will remain the longest-standing member of the team.

Consistent Performance Throughout the 2023 LEC Season

Despite the challenges faced by MAD Lions in the 2023 LEC season with the new format, Elyoya maintained a high level of performance throughout the year.

Possible Roster Changes and Departure of Strategic Coach Pad

On Oct. 27, MAD Lions announced that there would likely be significant roster changes in the offseason, with the entire roster given the opportunity to explore other options for the 2024 season. While no roster changes have occurred yet, strategic coach Pad left the team on Oct. 28 after a three-year stint.

Imminent Roster Changes and Potential Signings

Reports have surfaced indicating that roster changes are imminent. Wooloo reported on Nov. 2 that bot lane Carzzy is set to be replaced by Movistar Riders’ Supa. Additionally, MAD Lions is reportedly close to signing head coach Melzhet for next season, coming from the same ERL team.

The team had mixed results this year, with early exits at the Mid-Season Invitational and World Championship. However, they managed to secure an LEC Championship during an unexpected miracle run in Spring.

In 2024, MAD Lions will likely have a significantly different lineup, but star player Elyoya will continue to be the face of the team.
