Lux to receive buffs in League of Legends Patch 10.4

Riot Games to Buff Lux in Upcoming Patch

Riot Games has listened to the community and is planning to give a boost to one of the most beloved champions of League of Legends, Lux. Players can expect buffs for both Lux’s middle and support positions.

One of the changes includes increasing the damage on her Lighting Binding ability (Q) from 70 to 250 (+0.7 AP) to 80 to 260 to (+0.6 AP) and reducing its cooldown from 13 to nine seconds to 11 to nine seconds.

These adjustments are aimed at improving Lux’s pushing power, increasing her burst damage output, and allowing her to have a stronger presence in the laning phase. Currently, Lux’s outdated mechanics have caused her to fall behind other champions. Her lack of mobility and unreliable ultimate ability have made her less popular, especially in competitive play.

In the mid lane, Lux has a win rate of 49.94 percent in Platinum and above. However, as a support, her win rate has dropped to 46.39 percent, making her one of the worst performers in that role.

Apart from her high damage and crowd control abilities, Lux doesn’t bring much else to team compositions. There are often better choices available for mid laners and support champions. The increased damage should improve Lux’s viability, but the overall impact of these changes is still uncertain.

In Patch 10.4, Lux will also gain the ability to flash while casting her ultimate ability, similar to Ezreal. This change will enhance her playmaking potential and allow players to snipe out targets more effectively by using the flash combo for maximum damage.

League’s Patch 10.4 is set to be released on Thursday, Feb. 20.
