LoL’s controversial Faker Ahri skin is live—and Riot has a new 60K RP option to buy

Over the last month, Riot Games has been under fire from the League of Legends player base over the new Faker-themed Ahri skin bundle that costs an arm and a leg to buy. That new package was out today, and Riot included a new mega RP bundle with it.

The Signature Edition of the Immortalized Legend Ahri bundle costs a whopping 59,260 RP, which equates to about $450, much to the chagrin of most casual and hardcore League players alike. However, a new RP option in the store allows you to acquire the package with a few clicks.

Riot has added two additional RP buying choices to the menu, in addition to the standard 13,500 RP package, which costs around $100. The first gives you enough RP to purchase the normal Immortalized Legend Ahri package for $245, while the second gives you 60,200 RP for around $430.

The addition of these RP buying options is nicely aligned with the new bundle pricing. Granted, this is the most costly package the firm has launched in the game’s history, so it is understandable that the makers would include a simple way to ensure you have enough RP to purchase the bundle you want.

Regardless, players are startled by the expense of the standard Immortalized Ahri bundle, as well as the Signature Edition’s exorbitant pricing. Many fans have been vocal about how they feel Riot is exploiting Faker’s global fan base for more profits, but the developers are trying to convince supporters that skins like Faker’s Ahri will help “celebrate iconic pro players and help cover the costs of esports.”

There are many of fans who want to show their support for Faker and his famous career, but the lovely skin is trapped behind such a high price. Even yet, there are other methods for diehard Faker fans to show their support for the renowned player.
