LoL players speculate an LPL legend could be next for a Hall of Legends skin

Faker’s Hall of Legends skins are not yet live on League of Legends servers, but fans are already speculating on which professional talent will be the next entrant into the exclusive club.

Many players on the League subreddit feel that former LPL AD carry Uzi, who had a decade-long career and cemented himself into League history before retiring after the 2023 season, is the most likely contender to acquire the next Hall of Legends skin. Many consider Uzi to be the greatest ADC of all time.

China is a large market for League gamers, and partnering with one of the best players to ever come out of that region would be an extremely solid move.

“Uzi is the best second choice by pretty much all metrics to be honest,” a League fan named RavenFAILS said on Reddit. “They only do one pro each year, so selecting an iconic figure from each country makes sense, and who else would you choose in China except Uzi? By probably the most iconic LPL player when the league first gained fame, and he is been doing it long enough to be regarded a legend.

Other players with a large following in China include TheShy and JackeyLove, who were both members of the historic 2018 Invictus Gaming squad—the first LPL team to ever win Worlds. Many Reddit users also entered their names into the ring. “In China, TheShy is his own country,” one fan said.

Uzi is infamous for never winning a World Championship and is often regarded as the best League player to have never lifted the Summoner’s Cup. Even with all in mind, no League fan who saw Uzi play in his prime will deny his brilliance.

If Uzi were to receive another Hall of Legends skin, it will very certainly be for Vayne, the champion with whom he built a name for himself as early as his rookie season. Throughout his career, Uzi was regarded as the best Vayne player in the world, and whenever he selected the champion, his team became an immediate threat to win, regardless of whether or not she was relevant in the current meta (she rarely was). Dating back to 2013, Uzi played 59 games on Vayne, posting a career KDA of 4.04 with her, according to League stats site Leaguepedia.

Riot has not announced who the next League pro to be nominated to the Hall of Legends will be, despite the committee that votes on it is already in the process of deciding. Faker’s Hall of Legends skins will be available on the client starting June 12.
