League of Legends: Players Demand Reversion of K’Sante Buff in Patch 13.21
League of Legends players have expressed their frustration with the recent buff to K’Sante in Patch 13.21 on Oct. 26, which has brought him back into the meta. In a Reddit thread from Nov. 6, players discussed the current state of K’Sante and pleaded with Riot Games to revert the changes made in the update.
“I am incredibly frustrated watching him dominate teamfights, killing everyone and taking little damage. Why would anyone play any other top-lane champion?” wrote the author of the thread.
The comments in the thread echoed these sentiments, with players highlighting the issues with K’Sante. “The biggest problem is that tenacity is ineffective against him,” wrote one highly-rated comment, referring to the champion’s strong crowd-control abilities. “Riot needs to consider the balance of any ability that displaces a champion. It’s disorienting to play against.”
Currently, K’Sante is the sixth most-banned champion in League of Legends, with a ban rate of 21.8 percent in higher tiers. However, his win rate is only 49.3 percent according to League of Graphs.
K’Sante: A Controversial Champion
Since his release in November 2022, K’Sante has often been a point of contention in the community. The developer has made numerous changes to him each month, and a slight rework was introduced on Oct. 11, altering all of his abilities.
After Patch 13.21 was implemented, the developer noticed a significant increase in K’Sante’s win rate on the ladder. To address the issue, they made some adjustments. The cast time of his Q ability, Ntofo Strikes, was increased, and there were slight improvements to his W ability, Path Maker, and Ultimate, All Out.
