LMQ Embraces English Language for Communication
The Chinese pro team LMQ, known for playing League of Legends, has announced that they will be training using the English language to communicate. This decision is significant as the team aims to integrate into the North American gaming scene and compete in the League Championship Series (LCS).
LMQ has begun implementing English-only practice sessions and actively working towards this goal. In a recent tweet, Xiaowei Li from LMQ expressed their commitment to this transition.

In contrast to other teams, like Quantic Gaming, who struggled to adapt to the American League of Legends scene, LMQ has shown a willingness to embrace the new culture around them. They understand that being comfortable in the U.S. is crucial for their professional success in LCS.
Although using English during practice sessions may hinder communication initially, LMQ is determined to become part of the local esports ecosystem. Their efforts to learn the language could potentially lead to more media opportunities, such as live listen-ins to their team communications during matches.
Having initially been perceived as outsiders, LMQ has worked hard to establish themselves in North America. Currently, they have a strong record, tied for first place in the LCS. This weekend, LMQ will face Evil Geniuses and Curse Gaming in the fourth week of the NA LCS.
