Liquid and C9 Stand Out as Finalists for 2022 Spring Split MVP Award in LCS

The LCS Reveals Top 10 Finalists for 2022 Spring Split MVP Award

The LCS has announced the top 10 finalists for the 2022 Spring Split MVP award. The winner of the award will be unveiled before the final weekend of the playoffs on April 22.

All 10 players who made it to the finals of the MVP award are from teams that have qualified for the playoffs. Nine of these players are still in contention for the LCS spring title. The only finalist whose team did not make it to the playoffs is FlyQuest’s mid laner, Toucouille. None of the Evil Geniuses players made it to the top 10 of the MVP race.

Four out of five starters from Team Liquid, namely Bjergsen, Santorin, Bwipo, and CoreJJ, received enough votes to be in the top 10. The only player from the Liquid roster who did not make it as a finalist is AD carry Hans sama.

Similarly, three starters from Cloud9, Berserker, Summit, and Blaber, all made it to the top 10 in the MVP voting. Blaber, who won the LCS MVP award last spring, led C9 to win the Spring Split championship and qualify for the Mid-Season Invitational.

However, the reigning LCS MVP, TSM jungler Spica, who won the award last summer, did not make it to the top 10 in MVP votes this spring. TSM had a disappointing split, finishing second-to-last and missing the playoffs for the first time in their franchise history.

Winner to be Revealed on April 22

The winner of the LCS MVP award will be announced on Friday, April 22, according to Riot Games. The league action will resume on April 16 with the upper bracket finals between 100 Thieves and Team Liquid, with a spot in the grand finals at stake.
