Liiv SANDBOX coaches Joker and PawN diagnosed with COVID-19

Liiv SANDBOX Coaches Test Positive for COVID-19

Liiv SANDBOX, a prominent team in the League of Legends division, has announced that their coaches, Cho “Joker” Jae-eup and Heo “PawN” Won-seok, have tested positive for COVID-19. The organization shared this news on Twitter today.

The players on the team, fortunately, have tested negative for the virus. Nonetheless, they will undergo regular tests to monitor their health condition. (Link to source)

More LCK Teams Impacted by COVID-19

Unfortunately, SANDBOX is not the only LCK team that has been affected by the virus this year. DRX, Gen.G, Nongshim RedForce, and others have also reported positive cases among their members. Earlier this month, it was revealed that Yang “Daeny” Dae-in, the head coach for DWG KIA’s League squad, had tested positive as well.

SANDBOX Ready to Overcome Challenges

While SANDBOX faces the challenge of coping with the absence of their coaches, they have two more coaches available to continue their preparations effectively for upcoming matches in the LCK. The team is scheduled to play against Fredit BRION tomorrow and KT Rolster on Sunday, March 13.

Tough Situation for SANDBOX

However, any further obstacles that arise may complicate matters for SANDBOX, as the team is already struggling in the standings. Currently in ninth place with a 4-10 record, they are two wins behind the sixth-place Kwangdong Freecs, who are on track to qualify for the playoffs.

SANDBOX has four matches left to play before the end of the season, including a clash with the league leaders, T1.
