LFT Posts Dominate LoL World Following LCS Ranking Rule Change, and There Are Some Surprising Ones

New Trend Emerges on Twitter Following LCS Rank Rule Suspension

Twitter is abuzz with a new trend after the recent turmoil with LCSPA players’ walkout and Riot Games’ reported suspension of the rank rule in the LCS. Many players have taken to Twitter to announce that they are looking for an LCS team for the upcoming Summer Split, but there’s a catch.

Players of Varying Skill Levels Join the Trend

Most of the players who have joined the fray and posted “LFT LCS” on May 30 are of average skill level, ranging from low rankings like Iron to high ones like Challenger and Master. However, some community figures such as streamers and coaches have also jumped on the bandwagon and announced their availability.

Notable personalities known in the League of Legends community who have taken part in this trend include KatEvolved, Jayden, and Nicolas Perez, a coach from NORD Esports. Some of them even posted their League stats, with Perez revealing his rank as Platinum 4 and mentioning his preferred position as AD carry.

Opportunity for Average Players in the LCS

On the other hand, there are also average players from various rankings who have expressed their interest. From Gold-ranked players like Hailong to those in Challenger like Narthen, all of them have one thing in common—a chance to play for LCS teams in the upcoming games. The 2023 Summer Split is set to begin on June 1.

Twitter Trend Arises from Rank Rule Suspension

This trend started on Twitter after Riot Games reportedly lifted the rule requiring LCS players to have at least a Diamond ranking. It is believed to be a response to the planned walkout by LCSPA players to protest against the changes in NACL.

While the exact date of the walkout remains unknown, it is rumored to coincide with the start of the 2023 LCS Summer Split on June 1.

reached out to the players and community figures who participated in the “LFT LCS” trend for comments, but no responses were received at the time of publishing.
