Exciting News for League of Legends Players: Eclipse Leona Skins Coming Soon!
The highly anticipated Eclipse Leona skins are almost here! Recently, the login screen for these skins was added to the PBE client, and it looks absolutely stunning. If you want a sneak peek, you can check out the in-game client login screen video here.
A Beautiful Transformation
The login screen showcases two variants of the Leona skin: Solar Eclipse and Lunar Eclipse. In the Solar Eclipse variant, Leona can be seen standing in front of the sun during an eclipse. As the sun becomes fully eclipsed, Leona is enveloped in a beam of light, transforming her into her Lunar Eclipse form. The reverse process occurs as well, with Leona changing back to her Solar Eclipse form, but this time with the moon being eclipsed instead of the sun.
Introducing Variants Skins
Leona’s Eclipse skins are part of the new variant skin category in League of Legends. According to Riot Games’ product manager Carlos Giffoni, variants offer similarities and differences compared to their counterparts. Unlike Chromas, which only provide recolors, variants come with brand new models and splash arts. This means that players can expect a fresh and unique visual experience with these skins.
In addition to Leona’s Eclipse skins, the Star Guardians will also receive the variant treatment. Known as the Pajama Guardians, this skin theme will introduce kigurumi variants for Star Guardian Lux, Ezreal, Miss Fortune, Soraka, and Lulu.
Discounts for Skin Owners
If you already own the Star Guardian skins or the Eclipse Leona skins, you’re in luck. Riot Games is offering a 30 percent discount on the Pajama Guardians skins for Star Guardian skin owners, and vice versa. The same discount applies to the two Eclipse Leona skins as well.
